Siang Hee Restaurant

Relocated to:
Serangoon Gardens Food Centre,
Stall 20. 49A Serangoon Garden Way

After my workshops on Saturday evening, Aunt sugguested to have dinner at Siang Hee after she read the reviews from ieatishootipost. We were quite satisfied with the dinner and all the dishes we ordered that night were quite good. I would say they are definitely one of the above average zi char stall in our list. We will be back often to try out other dishes. In term of value of money, their pricing are reasonable for the type of quality food served.

Crispy Prawn in Pumpkin Sauce - S$12 for 4 large prawns

Prawn deep fried in tempura flour and drizzle w/creamy pumpkin sauce. It's yummy even though I don't fancy prawn. Something different from cereal prawn which are so common nowaday.

Crispy Pork Knuckle - S$15

This is a must try dish! Though I'm not sure how it was cooked but definitely is a complicated process to prepare this pork knuckle. It was so good and almost similar to German pork knuckle but in asian flavor! The skin was crispy yet not oily and the meat was so tender & flavourful. This was unforgetable!

Assam Fishhead - S$18

We missed our grandma assam fish so much that whenever we dined out, we will order that hoping to get my grandma's flavor. Finally, we found it at Siang Hee. Their assam fishhead tasted almost like the way my grandma's used to cook and the fish was very fresh. This was exceptionally good to me and I will come back just for their assam fishhead.

House Special Spinach Tofu - S$8

Another yummy dish for tofu lover. Though it looked plain but was not at all. The sauce was a bit salty but was balance up when eaten with the tofu.
